Wuru Taíno Tekiro’uo
Wuru Taíno Tekiro’uo (or Wuru Taíno School/Institute) is a grassroots initiative founded by Taíno-Borikua artist and educator, Ra Jikotea Niaku’no Ruiz León, and co-founded by Dr. Gladys Yacely Aponte, a Taíno-Kiskeyana dual language anti-colonial educator and researcher. Wuru Taíno celebrates Taíno language and culture through presentations, history courses, language classes, workshops, and community gatherings.
